Campaign Project Highlights

“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.”
Albert Camus

The Friendly Home’s building project consists of two new additions and renovations to the existing building which dates back to 1918. A 38,000 square foot addition will include new companion suites which are larger double rooms offering greater privacy to Members and a more work friendly environment for staff. A second 4,500 square foot addition will include a new entrance with a covered drop off area to replace the current entrance canopy. Project highlights include:

  • New and larger companion suites with two distinct living areas and larger bathrooms.

  • Current semi-private rooms will be renovated and converted to private rooms, increasing the overall number of private rooms.

  • Larger bathrooms in all Members’ rooms.

  • A new Memory Care Center will be created to combine two existing and separate units.

  • Relocation of the Transitional Care Center to create a more private environment with a larger gym/therapy space and dedicated dining room.

  • Installation of a state-of-the-art nurse call system.

  • Creation of six new private rooms for bariatric (obese) patients.
