Campaign Project Highlights

The Friendly Home’s building project consists of two new additions and renovations to the existing building which dates back to 1918. A 38,000 square foot addition will include new companion suites which are larger double rooms offering greater privacy to Members and a more work friendly environment for staff. A second 4,500 square foot addition will include a new entrance with a covered drop off area to replace the current entrance canopy. Project highlights include:
- New and larger companion suites with two distinct living areas and larger bathrooms.
- Current semi-private rooms will be renovated and converted to private rooms, increasing the overall number of private rooms.
- Larger bathrooms in all Members’ rooms.
- A new Memory Care Center will be created to combine two existing and separate units.
- Relocation of the Transitional Care Center to create a more private environment with a larger gym/therapy space and dedicated dining room.
- Installation of a state-of-the-art nurse call system.
- Creation of six new private rooms for bariatric (obese) patients.
- A new family gathering room off the new entrance.
- A new meeting and event dining room located on the first floor.
- Relocation of Physical and Occupational Therapy, Medical Suite, Beauty Shop, Central Supply, and Human Resources to the first floor.
- A new fully equipped staff fitness center with lockers and shower rooms.
