We understand that when someone is in need of short-term rehabilitative care, the goal is to get well and go back home as quickly as possible.
For over 150 years, The Friendly Home has been a leader in providing quality health care to older adults. We bring this same level of quality and commitment to The Friendly Home's Transitional Care Center. Some of the services we offer include:

The Transitional Care Center is located on a separate wing within The Friendly Home. All rooms are private, each with its own bathroom, TV, VCR and phone, with access to a deluxe bath spa with a whirlpool tub. The Transitional Care Center also has its own therapy area.
Our well-trained, experienced team is one of the finest available anywhere. We pride ourselves on providing an interdisciplinary approach to helping patients regain independence and rebuild strengths and capabilities. Attractive, well-balanced meals may be enjoyed either in the formal dining room, or in the comfort of a patient's own room. Individuals in the Transitional Care Center benefit from all of The Friendly Home's in-house services, including: pastoral care and worship services; recreational activities; beauty salon/barbershop; and The Friendly Gift Shop and Café.
All of these services, combined with a caring staff and an environment which promotes total wellness, ensure a well-rounded recovery and smooth transition "back to health, back to home."
Alzheimer's and Related Dementias Care

When it is no longer possible to care for a loved one with dementia, The Friendly Home is here to provide specialized care for all levels of the illness, from early through advanced stages. Members with Alzheimer's and related dementias are cared for in a safe and loving environment by attentive, experienced professionals who provide specially tailored services and activities.

Hospice Care
The Friendly Home offers hospice care, including social work, nursing, pastoral care, and hospice volunteers for Members and their families. Additionally, Members requiring hospice care can stay right in their rooms and take part in activities around the Home as they are able.
